A Haven for Plant Geeks; A Guide for Gracious Sustainable Living
Purple Clematis
I planted this Clematis to wrap around the iron fence in our front yard when we were living in Brooklyn. This week it is my Weekly Photo Challenge entry.
Clematis are so pretty but I don’t have much success growing them. Lovely photo – it looks like a flower within a flower!
Thank you. When growing your Clematis have you followed the “head in the sun, feet in the shade” rule? They don’t like for their roots to get hot.
Lovely picture… our poor Clematis plant has shriveled in this intense MD heat wave! Maybe next year!
